Running form analysis, also called a gait analysis, is designed to help you make changes to your running form that will improve your running efficiency, increase your speed, and reduce your rate of injury. After knowing where your weaknesses are, you can then begin to build stronger running mechanics to improve your form.
Why Gait Analysis?
As a long time runner, I’ve experienced firsthand the importance of proper running form. As a young runner, my form was less than desirable, and it was in my very best interest to work on my running form so I could run more miles without getting injured so often.
TrainwithMarc helps runners address and fix running form flaws using gait (running form) analysis technology.
With proper running technique, you’ll be able to train at a higher level while reducing your risk of injury. You’ll be given exercises to perform to improve your form. When you know where your running flaws are, you can work to improve them and greatly reduce your injury rate.
About TrainwithMarc’s Gait Analysis
Marc uses years of experience and expertise analyzing runners’ form to help them make changes to improve their running form.
Marc uses CoachMyVideo to find specific parts of your running form that are inefficient and gives you a detailed report on how to improve those weak areas once he is done. After a session with Marc, you’ll have to tools to improve your running form, reducing your risk of injury and improving your running speed.
Marc will determine where modifications can be made to improve your form. He will provide picture feedback on strengths and flaws in your current running form. Marc will give a list of exercises to perform to optimize your running efficiency.
A full write up will take approximately two weeks from payment/video filming.
If you’d like to do an in-person session, Marc will film you while you run at various angles. This will happen at Cherry Hill East HS after arranging a time and date together. After filming you, Marc will then write a report detailing the areas in which you need to focus on the most. He will give you exercises to perform and key areas for you to focus your attention on.
Virtual Gait Analysis
Have someone film you running. You’ll need 3 videos – one of you running directly toward the camera, one running past the camera (side view) and one running directly away from the camera.
*Each of these videos should be run at mile race pace*
Upload the 3 videos to Google Drive and share the folder with TrainwithMarc.
