A perfect end to a Saturday night down the shore – a 10 mile race on the beach!
Dan has been getting back into shape, and the Capt. Bill Gallagher 10 miler was a great test to see what kind of fitness he’s produced so far. As it turns out, he’s been doing great keeping up with the runs and workouts and the race time showed.
If you know anything about running in the sand, it isn’t exactly easy to do. So while Dan’s time is for a 10 mile course, everyone who ran it should lop off a few minutes for compensation for a “normal” 10 mile course.
Finishing in 1:37:26 for 10 miles, Dan placed 3rd in the Police Division. That’s a pace of 9:45, in the sand and sometimes in the water!!
