I don’t like treadmills. In fact, I can only think of two runs in the last 8+ years when I’ve used a treadmill. That’s how much I’d rather run outside (no matter the weather conditions) than use that torture wheel. It just so happens though, that both of those 2 treadmill runs have been this winter.
The only two things that got me through five miles this time was 1- Carly. And 2- watching the Olympic 10k final from 2012. If it wasn’t for these two things, there’s no way I do 5. No. Way.
So next time you’re on the treadmill, go to YouTube and get a long track or road race and pretend you’re in the race. Makes that boring run go by so much quicker!
