Run for Tony – Summer’s End

On Wednesday night, the Haddon Running  Team lined up against some of South Jersey’s finest runners and toed the line for a 5k.  We were really excited to race the Run for Tony 5k, not only because it’s a great way to end the summer, but it’s also a great barometer for how your summer’s training has gone.

For those who peaked for this race and are now taking time off, it was a steamy end to the season.  For those who forge on for the rest of the fall, it was a great test of fitness.

Our team ran especially tough, given the circumstances (humid, muggy, and hot!) and came away with the 2nd best team in the race.  We were looking for the win, but even with perfect PR’s, I’m not so sure we would have won.

Steve ran a 20:43, bettering his PR by about 13 seconds!  Carly, coming off of an up and down summer ran 21:53, and Marc coming out with the “whooping cough” battled to a tough 17:42.  Team results are here.  Individual results here.
