Two TrainWithMarc runners laced up last weekend and it’s no surprise that both had very successful races. As it typically goes, Emilio ran another really good race at the Falmouth Road Race. This odd distanced run (7.1 miles) is one that Emilio has done for the last 4 years. This year, he posted a time of 55:26, a whopping 3:31 better than his previous best. Talk about getting faster!! I’m so proud of the work that Emilio has put in over the last 2.5 years and I can’t wait to help him attempt to qualify for Boston.
Erin also raced this weekend and while it was a new race distance for her, she tackled the hills, trails, and other competitors and came away with a very promising race result. Her time looks deceiving (2:58) because it was a trail half marathon that wound through single-track trails, hills, and a forest!! Erin finished as the 2nd female OVERALL, first in her age group, and 22nd in the ENTIRE race.
I’ve only been working with Erin for a few months now, but it’s extremely fun to coach motivated, driven, and passionate runners. And Erin is absolutely all of those qualities.
